Julie Willbond, she/her

Julie is a registered social worker with a master’s degree in social work. Julie provides psychotherapy to adults and young people. Julie assists individuals in developing skills, self-compassion, and in exploring emotions as they navigate through life transitions, trauma, loss, and the complexities of being human. She has been practicing as a social worker for 16 years, working with individuals and families at all stages of life. Julie has worked in intimate partner violence, youth outreach, case management, community mental health and community development.
Julie is committed to working from a client-centred, anti-oppressive, strengths-based perspective. Her approach integrates Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Julie believes it is important to find the right fit and offers a free 15-minute consultation to those interested in working with her.
Julie is now offering EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. EMDR is a psychotherapy approach that was developed to help individuals process and alleviate the distressing symptoms associated with traumatic experiences, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
